Stephen Suzman
Asteroids Anecdotes - How do the asteroids inform our understanding of charts?

Stephen Suzman has made a study of the use of Asteroids in the chart natally, in synastry and in transit. These highly personal astrological pointers are often able to illuminate the chart in curious ways, producing corroboration of major trends.

Stephen will illustrate the use of many of the asteroids, drawing from personal experience as well as including a discussion of a number of some relatively recent events such as the attack on the World Trade Center, the tsunami in Indonesia, the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, the first free South African Election, the birth of the only child of the renowned opera singer Maria Callas and the discovery of Plutonium.

There will be a brief discussion of a few of the asteroids in the charts of a number of world figures such as Nelson Mandela, Diana, Princess of Wales, Presidents Bush and Clinton, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Stephen Suzman was born in Johannesburg South Africa (November 21st, 1946, at 6:37 PM.)  After a BA in English and French in South Africa, he read French and Italian at Oxford University in England and graduated from Stanford with a MBA in 1974.

After a stint as a banker and a headhunter, he turned to garden design. He is currently CEO of Suzman and Cole Design Associates www.suzmancole.com- a firm which specializes in residential and select institutional and resort gardens.

He has been politically active for most of his life in both South Africa and the US.
Stephen's interest in astrology dates from a series of personal synchronistic occurrences in 1969 and more recently in 1991. He has lectured with his teachers, Jessica Murray and Anita Noyes Smith.
