Thanks to all who helped make International Astrology Day a rousing success! That includes those who "just" came and listened to the presentations, maybe made some new friends, chatted with old ones and enjoyed being a part of a growing community of astrologers.

Join us at UAC!

SFAS along with other West Coast astrological groups will have an information table at the United Astrology Conference. Volunteers are needed to help keep the table open. In the vendor's hall this will be a great place to hang out with local friends and to meet new people. At conferences we usually run into locals who aren't familiar with local resources, so this booth will make it easier to make new connections with our neighbors and to let folks coming to the Bay Area know when and where to meet the astrologers. This is a great opportunity to network for the group and for yourself! Please contact Fabienne at events@sfastrologicalsociety.com to volunteer.

2013 and Beyond

In our now-traditional finale to the year's programs, some of the Bay Area's top Geo-Political Astrologers will share their views of the year ahead.

Elizabeth Barton

Elizabeth A. Barton was introduced to astrology by her family and became a professional consulting astrologer in 2002. As an activist for astrology she went to battle for the rights of astrologers and metaphysical practitioners in the City of San Mateo in 2003. She won the right for her business to be accessed on the same criteria as other so call 'normal' businesses, thereby lowering the tax from $500.00 a year to $35.00.

Elizabeth is currently the Vice President for the San Francisco Astrological Society. She is ISAR ethics certified. Her office is located at 2555 Flores, suite #300 San Mateo 94403.

Her specialty is Life Path astrology and Solar returns. For more information go to www.elizabethabarton.com

Jack Fertig has been studying astrology since 1969, and practicing professionally since 1977. He has studied with Doris Chase Doane and Jayj Jacobs, and is a founding member of AFAN. Now he teaches Geo-Political Astrology at the International Academy of Astrology online and available at your computer.

A long time astro-columnist for the SF Bay Times and then the SF Spectrum, he now writes the internationally syndicated Q Scopes and has lectured from San Diego to Serbia. With a strong political background, vast travels, and a BA in History, he particularly enjoys putting an astrological lens to history, politics, and world events. He is also available for personal consultation.
