SFAS invites you to join us on the last Thursday of the month for a lively astrological presentation, discussion and excellent company.
Meetings start at 7:30 pm and are held at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco's Marina District. Parking and public transit available.
Meetings cost $7 for members and $12 for non-members for the general public.
$2 discounts off meeting fees for:
- Students with a student ID card
- Senior citizens (age 65+),
- People experiencing their Uranus Return (born 1925 or earlier) with membership get in for free!

Clare Martin, Facilitator, Elizabeth Barton co-facilitator Outer Planet Transits
This meeting will be a group discussion facilitated by Clare Martin, assisted by Elizabeth Barton. Based on the positions of Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in 2008, we'll talk about outer planet transits with real-life examples from audience charts. Come prepared with some stories of your past outer planet transits! Learn if you have any big transits coming up in your chart, and what that may mean for you. Bring your chart!
Clare Martin sat in on an astrology class in 2005, in which the topic for the evening was Saturn. Being the first time Clare had seen her natal chart, upon hearing what it possibly meant to have a 7th house Saturn -- and it reflecting exactly what was going on in her relationships -- she was hooked. Ever since, Clare has been studying astrology with dedicated passion. She is planning to attend graduate school in Fall 2008 to pursue a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, in hopes of using astrological insight to help people in their emotional and spiritual growth. When not consumed with astrological activities, Clare is usually writing, biking, exploring new restaurants, reading short fiction and pop culture mags, at the movies, and/or appreciating four-legged creatures.
Elizabeth Barton is a former Police Officer and Intelligence Analyst. Astrology has been part of her life since childhood. In 2002, she became a professional Astrologer. She is a member of AFAN, ISAR and the NCGR. She is Ethics certified by ISAR, and is currently the vice president of the San Francisco Astrological Society. Consultations by phone, e-mail or in person.
Elizabeth has been a Reiki Master since Aug 08 2002 and a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) since August 08, 1988. The massages she gives range from Energy to Swedish . She has developed a clothes on massage focused on maximum stress relief. This transformational massage combines shamanic touch, creative visualization, aromatherapy, crystals, and Reiki. Bay Tree Wellness Center is where she works. RN and Acupuncturist Stephanie LaCarrubba, Masseuse Laureen Fanucchi and Hypnotherapist Jo Siegrist are the other members of the Bay Tree Wellness Center, which is located at 1650 S. Amphlett Blvd, suite 224, in San Mateo, CA.
