General Meeting Info

SFAS invites you to join us on the last Thursday of the month for a lively astrological presentation, discussion and excellent company.

Regular meetings start at 7:30 pm and are held at the Fort Mason Center, Building C, Room C-260 -- in San Francisco's Marina District. Parking and public transit available.

(In November and December, to accomodate the holidays -- and when there are special events at Ft. Mason -- meetings may be earlier in the month, but still always on Thursdays.)

Regular Meetings, open to the general public, cost $7 for members and $12 for non-members.

$2 discounts off meeting fees for:

  • Students with a student ID card
  • Senior citizens (age 65+),
  • People experiencing their Uranus Return (born 1927 or earlier) with membership get in for free!

International Astrology Day is the annual astrologers' celebration that takes place with the Spring Equinox. For 2011 The SFAS and NCGR are collaborating on a big event for the entire day of Saturday, March 19. Check back here for details!

The National Council for Geocosmic Research offers lectures and workshops. Upcoming events include speakers Michael Lutin, Christopher Renstrom, Joyce Levine, Lee Lehman, Richard Tarnas, and Chris Brennan.

From the East Bay --
Bay Bridge to Fremont Street Exit; on Fremont Street (100 yards north) take first right on Howard; left on Embarcadero and go 2 miles; left on Bay and go 2 miles; right on Buchanan. Cross Marina Blvd. and make sharp right into Fort Mason Center.

From the North Bay -- Golden Gate Bridge (US 101) to Marina Exit; Marina Blvd.(1.5 miles) to Buchanan and turn left into Fort Mason Center.

From the Peninsula/South Bay --
(via US 101) Take US 101 North to 9th Street. Exit; 9th Street across Market and left on Hayes; right on Franklin; left on Bay; right to Buchanan. Cross Marina Blvd. and make sharp right into Fort Mason Center.
(via US 280) Take US 280 North to 19th Avenue. Exit; stay on 19th Avenue North toward Golden Gate Bridge; thru Golden Gate Park; 19th Avenue becomes Park Presidio Blvd.; take Marina Blvd. Exit (last San Francisco exit); Marina Blvd. (1.5 miles) to Buchanan and turn left into Fort Mason Center.

MUNI Lines: 10 Townsend, 22 Fillmore, 29 19th Avenue, 30 Stockton, 47 Van Ness, 49 Van Ness/Mission, 82x Presidio/Wharves Express.
