SFAS invites you to join us on the last Thursday of the month for a lively astrological presentation, discussion and excellent company.
Meetings start at 7:30 pm and are held at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco's Marina District. Parking and public transit available.
Meetings cost $7 for members and $12 for non-members for the general public.
$2 discounts off meeting fees for:
- Students with a student ID card
- Senior citizens (age 65+),
- People experiencing their Uranus Return (born 1925 or earlier) with membership get in for free!

Workshop with Daniel Giamario – Partnership, Relationship, and the Sacred Marriage
This workshop explores emergent themes of relationship, partnership and sexuality at this time of the Turning of the Ages. We will explore the interfaces of the personal and the transpersonal and of the psychological and the spiritual. The chart elements emphasis will be on Mars, Venus, and the Ascendant/Descendant axis. The intent of the workshop is to provide the necessary understanding for creating an inner sacred marriage with the "inner other" or the beloved.
Daniel Giamario is the Executive Director of the Shamanic Astrology Mystery School and creator of the Shamanic Astrology paradigm. He has an academic background in Comparative Philosophy and Spirituality, teaching meditation and extensive world travel. Daniel learned astrology in the late 1960’s and was part of Dane Rudhyar’s Humanistic astrological movement in the 1970s. After a vision quest experience on Mount Shasta in 1981, his astrological vision and spiritual path became more Earth centered. For many years, his specialty has been connecting astrology to the night sky at secluded locations and sacred sites to directly experience “As Above, So Below”.

In the early 1990s Daniel Giamario, with the help of Cayelin Castell, began the Shamanic Astrology Mystery School. By the end of 2008, 39 persons have graduated as certified Shamanic Astrologers.
Daniel’s first book, The Shamanic Astrology Handbook is available. He has written numerous articles for Mountain Astrologer magazine and other publications. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Daniel traveled extensively, teaching workshops. Daniel now lives in Tucson, Arizona and The Big Island of Hawaii. He is available for personal and phone consultations, lectures and workshops. Daniel Giamario is a lively and stimulating radio and television guest and has hosted his own radio show on the Seventh Wave Network.
