Join us at UAC!
SFAS along with other West Coast astrological groups will have an information table at the United Astrology Conference. Volunteers are needed to help keep the table open. In the vendor's hall this will be a great place to hang out with local friends and to meet new people. At conferences we usually run into locals who aren't familiar with local resources, so this booth will make it easier to make new connections with our neighbors and to let folks coming to the Bay Area know when and where to meet the astrologers. This is a great opportunity to network for the group and for yourself! Please contact Fabienne at events@sfastrologicalsociety.com to volunteer.

Chris Brennan
Uranus, Neptune and the Evolution of Astrology
Uranus-Neptune conjunctions have historically correlated with a number of important turning points in the development of astrology. These turning points often involve a movement within the astrological community to reunite and synthesize the older traditions with the newer ones. The purpose of this lecture will be to provide an overview of the history of astrology with an eye towards this historical cycle. During the process we will discuss many of the techniques and concepts that were developed at various points along the way, and demonstrate why the study of some of the older traditions may be relevant and useful to us today. This lecture will be suitable for a very broad audience.
Chris Brennan is a practicing astrologer from Denver, Colorado. Educated at Kepler College and Project Hindsight, he specializes in the history, philosophy and practice of ancient astrology. His main focus is on the Greco-Roman tradition known as Hellenistic Astrology. He is the former Research Director of the National Council of Geocosmic Research, and the current President of the Association for Young Astrologers.
Chris does personal consultations and teaches online courses to students from around the world. At the moment he is completing his first book, entitled Hellenistic Astrology: The Study of Fate and Fortune.
