How the Analysis of Light Led to a New Worldview

The Co-Emergence of Depth Psychology and Quantum Mechanics and the Corresponding Jupiter-Uranus and Uranus-Pluto Cycles

This talk will explore the synchronistic relationship between the Jupiter-Uranus and Uranus-Pluto planetary cycles and the correlations to the major breakthroughs and discoveries in the history of quantum mechanics and depth psychology. We will investigate the underlying principles of quantum field theory and how they are not only coherent with the astrological perspective but also illuminate an intelligible framework for understanding essential aspects of how the human psyche participates in the archetypal nature of reality. Is archetypal astrology a neutral language informing both psyche and matter? No quantum mechanics background necessary. The discussion will be tailored for an astrological audience.

Chad Harris  has been studying astrology since 1995. His astrological focus centers around understanding the nature of humanity’s participation in archetypal phenomena with a particular focus on the epistemological and ontological consequences for our understanding of reality.  Ie,. How and why does astrology work and what does it say about who we are? Chad is an assistant to Richard Tarnas at CIIS, a contributing author to Archai: The Journal of Archetypal Cosmology, and a professional counseling astrologer since 2008.
